Music for Food is a musician-led initiative to fight hunger in our local communities.
According to Feeding America, 1 in 9 people in the United States struggles with food insecurity. Music for Food’s concerts have raised funds to create more than 1.5 million meals*.
*This figure is based on the estimate that 1 dollar can be used to make 3 meals. In some food pantries, a single dollar can be stretched even further.

I’m partial to Scottish Fiddle music. My sister studied to become a veterinarian at the Royal Dick in Edinburgh and after her graduation, I spent a month cycling the islands, wild camping, and tasting whisky.
This group, Boston Scottish Fiddle Club, is a way for players to learn new tunes and make new friends with a common interest. Some events are during school hours, some on weekends.
